Enhancing local economic governance capacity and competitiveness

Attending the training course, 40 trainees represented departments, branches, agencies, and units of the province. Trainees were informed of the following contents: Some basic issues on local economic governance, economic management to serve businesses and investors from the PCI perspective and the current institutional reform context; some experiences to improve local economic governance, economic management and use PCI and DDCI results to improve local economic governance; experiences on survey methods, tools, and coordination and management of the entire DDCI process to create good results to improve local economic governance and economic management.

During the training, trainees discussed and exchanged about the orientation of training needs, capacity building roadmap and output results of capacity building for the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and units in the province to promote activities to improve local economic governance, economic management, gender mainstreaming, inclusive development in local economic governance; DDCI implementation process, methods and highlights of DDCI over the years, experiences of localities and application to Son La.
