Improving the professional skills of people's foreign affairs of Hanoi City in the new situation

The conference aims to help cadres and members of the association understand the Party and State's foreign policy and guidelines, improve communication skills, international cooperation, event organization, reception of delegations as well as how to handle sensitive situations in the foreign affairs environment; thereby contributing to standardizing and professionalizing the team working in people's foreign affairs of the Capital.

The conference was held to implement Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation; Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW dated May 15, 2024 on Improving the effectiveness of foreign information work in the new period; Directive No. 45-CT/TU dated August 8, 2025 of the Hanoi Party Committee on strengthening people-to-people diplomacy of the Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; Plan No. 48/KH-UBND dated February 19, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing foreign information activities of Hanoi in 2025 and many other directive documents.

This is one of the key tasks of HAUFO in the last 6 months of the year. Recently, in the context of the world and regional situation continuing to have many complex fluctuations, HAUFO has proactively deployed many extensive, creative and effective people-to-people diplomacy activities.

At the conference, Director of the Press and Information Department and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang mentioned many contents related to the world and regional situation, the impact on Vietnam, our country's position in the global flow as well as shared experiences, diplomatic and foreign affairs situations.

In particular, Ms. Pham Thu Hang also shared a lot of information and experience in foreign information work in the new situation, the need to promote a dynamic, integrated image of Vietnam, with the aspiration to reach out to international friends.

Concluding the conference, HAUFO Permanent Vice President Tran Thi Phuong emphasized: The conference received a lot of information surrounding two contents including: Some outstanding issues of the world today and Vietnam's foreign affairs; foreign information work and promoting local image conveyed by comrade Pham Thu Hang. The delegates also recorded a lot of valuable information, knowledge and experience serving the practical work.

In the coming time, HAUFO will continue to organize training conferences to more effectively carry out people-to-people diplomacy, thereby promoting the image of the Capital, strengthening international cooperation, contributing to the development and raising the position of Hanoi city.
