Honoring the Third 'Smart Education Initiative - SEI Awards', 2025

On November 15 in Hanoi, the Education Technology and Digital Transformation Forum - EDTECH VIETNAM and the Third "Smart Education Initiative - SEI Awards" Honoring Ceremony in 2025 took place solemnly, attracting widespread attention from the education, science - technology and business communities.

The program was broadcast live on channel H2 of Hanoi Radio and Television, showing the scale, influence and strong spread of this year's event.

The event is organized under the direction of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Training , the Ministry of Science and Technology, implemented by the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation in coordination with Sang Newspaper Development Joint Stock Company and related units. This is the core activity of the EDTECH VIETNAM Forum - an annual event from 2023, nationwide and has a role in strongly promoting the application of technology and digital transformation in education.

Spreading the spirit of innovation throughout the industry

In the context of Vietnam's education entering a period of rapid and strong transformation, EDTECH VIETNAM has become an important dialogue forum where managers, experts and educational organizations discuss strategies for applying digital technology in teaching, management and research. The event aims to build a modern educational environment where ICT, AI, big data and digital solutions are widely applied to improve the quality of teaching and learning, standardize management processes and promote innovation throughout the industry.

Speaking at the event, VUSTA President Phan Xuan Dung emphasized that in 2025, the Program will continue to implement many connecting and orienting activities, notably the Forum for Innovation and Digital Transformation in Education and Training, along with the introduction of advanced educational technology solutions. In particular, the "Smart Education Initiative - SEI Awards" Honor Ceremony is still the most important highlight, demonstrating recognition for initiatives with high practical value, making practical contributions to the digital transformation of education.

Selecting 91 outstanding initiatives from more than 200 profiles

After two months of receiving and evaluating, the Organizing Committee received more than 200 applications from outstanding organizations and individuals across the country. Many large units in the fields of finance, banking, education, and technology participated such as Vietcombank, Agribank, Zodiac Clarity Joint Stock Company, iSMART Education Joint Stock Company, Vietnam-USA Society English (VUS), Institute for Financial Management and Educational Technology Research, Duy Tan University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, SotaTek Vietnam, RMIT Vietnam, Dewey Secondary and High School...

Through two rigorous evaluation rounds, the Jury selected 71 businesses with 91 outstanding products/solutions, in three categories: Educational Environment of the Year; Educational Innovation of the Year/Innovative Educational Leader; and Educational Influence of the Year.

This year's list of honorees reflects the persistent innovation efforts and relentless creativity of organizations, schools and businesses in the journey of building a digital education ecosystem in Vietnam.

Affirming the role of science and technology in education

The initiatives honored at the SEI Awards 2025 demonstrate a clear shift from the experimental stage to the practical application, standardization and optimization stage. From digital classroom models, STEM education, adaptive learning technology, to smart education management solutions, all aim to improve the quality of teaching and learning, support teachers and students and change the digital culture in schools.

The projects implemented over the past year have all been highly applicable and have had a practical impact on the community. Many initiatives from businesses and universities have contributed to the creation of a modern learning environment, reducing manual processes, improving digital capacity, while promoting scientific research and applying advanced technology to teaching.

Thanks to these initiatives, education activities are shifting towards more transparency, efficiency and in line with global technology trends. This is also a clear demonstration of the creativity and persistent efforts of the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation in organizing EDTECH VIETNAM and SEI Awards, creating a solid foundation for the development of smart education in Vietnam.

Promoting the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution on innovation and digital transformation

2025 is also an important time when Vietnamese education strongly implements two major Resolutions of the Politburo: Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; and Resolution 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 on breakthroughs in education and training development.

In that context, honoring 91 outstanding initiatives like this year is of special importance: helping to form a creative ecosystem, linking schools - research institutes - businesses - management agencies, thereby supporting the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program in a practical and sustainable manner.

Laying the foundation for digital education in the coming years

The SEI Awards 2025 also creates an open space for schools, businesses and educational institutions to exchange experiences, connect resources and spread advanced models. The honored initiatives are valuable data for units to refer to, apply and expand in the future.

From this foundation, Vietnamese education is moving towards a new phase – where artificial intelligence technology, data analysis, simulation systems, digital classrooms and smart governance become pillars, contributing to building a modern, creative and internationally integrated educational environment.

The Third Smart Education Initiative - SEI Awards Ceremony in 2025 was a great success.
