Nam Dinh province's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism conducts training on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation

The conference aims to equip basic and updated knowledge and skills on digital transformation for cadres, civil servants, public employees and those working in culture, information, sports and tourism in the province.

Propagating the Party and State's guidelines, policies and regulations on digital transformation; digital applications in the cultural field; ways to build and deploy effective digital transformation models as well as challenges and opportunities in the current context.

Attending the training were more than 250 managers and specialists of the Department's State management departments; leaders and officials of the Department's affiliated public service units; leaders of the Department of Culture, Science and Information, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports, and civil servants in charge of technology and information in Nam Dinh districts and cities.

The content deployed at the training conference includes: Basic contents of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

Introducing virtual assistant software, skills in exploiting and using some artificial intelligence (AI) applications in handling work of officials, civil servants, and cultural, information, sports and tourism officials.

Application of information technology in processing work in the network environment, instructions on using ChatGPT application and some similar software; advanced word processing skills; some issues on information security in the digital environment and some content related to digital transformation in the fields of culture, sports and tourism.

According to the leader of the Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province, in recent years, the culture, sports and tourism sector of Nam Dinh province has had remarkable developments, contributing significantly to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, enriching the spiritual life of the people and promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

The industry identifies promoting digital transformation as a strategic task to better meet the increasing needs of society in the digital age, bringing Nam Dinh culture further, reaching more audiences, especially the younger generation.
