One of the highlights of the program is the reportage recreating two victory news broadcasts on April 30 and May 1, 1975. The news broadcast on April 30, 1975 from the Voice of Vietnam in Hanoi, read by announcer Tuyet Mai, was the first confirmation sent from the heart of the Capital to the entire nation: “The Ho Chi Minh Campaign has been completely victorious. Saigon City has been completely liberated. The flag of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam has flown over the roof of the Presidential Palace of the puppet government…”.

On the evening of May 1, 1975, Saigon Liberation Radio and Television Station broadcast its second news bulletin, from the very place that had just been liberated. It was the first broadcast of the newly taken over television station but carried the mission of opening a new era: “This is Saigon Liberation Radio and Television Station, broadcasting from Saigon, greetings to our beloved compatriots… At 11:30 on April 30, 1975, our heroic and glorious city was liberated…”.
