(NLDO) - The martyrs' cemetery at the bottom of the sea will last forever and be deeply ingrained in the minds of every patriotic Vietnamese person, a "red address" affirming national sovereignty .
Many Vietnamese people, including overseas Vietnamese, yearn to once set foot on Truong Sa, the very far-flung islands at the frontier, a sacred part of the Fatherland.

Many wreaths have been dropped into the sea from the deck of ships to commemorate those who heroically sacrificed their lives to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands, but there is no cemetery dedicated to these heroic martyrs there.
As wives and children of martyrs, we always wish for a martyrs cemetery located at the bottom of the sea, in the middle of the East Sea, named Truong Sa Martyrs Cemetery or Gac Ma Martyrs Cemetery.
The idea of building this cemetery is to honor the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army who heroically sacrificed their lives to protect the sea and islands of the sacred Fatherland in general, and the 64 martyrs of Gac Ma Island in particular. Through this, we can promote, raise awareness, and educate patriotism, national pride, and civic responsibility, especially for the young generation at home and abroad.
Should the cemetery grounds include 64 graves of Gac Ma soldiers, specially designed to be similar in size and material to resist rust, corrosion from seawater and time?
On the tombstones are tombstones carved with the Vietnamese national flag and emblem, with full names, year of birth, hometown, and date of death written on them. The tombstones are arranged on a relatively flat area of land on the seabed and shallow compared to the sea level, near Gac Ma island, Sinh Ton cluster of Truong Sa archipelago, Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province.
The martyrs' cemetery area will become an artificial coral site so that every year, groups of tourists from the mainland can take a boat to visit and dive to visit the cemetery, touch the graves of the venerable martyrs, and visit the coral of the homeland's islands.
Building an underwater cemetery is difficult but not impossible, it is completely feasible.

This special martyrs' cemetery has strong propaganda and education significance about revolutionary history, patriotism, and affirming national sovereignty over seas and islands, so the people will definitely support it.
A martyrs' cemetery at the bottom of the sea will last forever and be deeply ingrained in the minds of every patriotic Vietnamese, a "red address" affirming national sovereignty. So why not!
