Project acceptance on crossbred goat farming model for meat

BPO - On the afternoon of May 27, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh chaired a meeting of the Provincial Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of the project "Application of technical advances and building a model of raising crossbred goats for meat (Boer x Bach Thao) in Binh Phuoc province" under the rural mountainous program.

After 40 months of implementation, the project "Application of technical advances and construction of a model for raising crossbred goats for meat (Boer x Bach Thao) in Binh Phuoc province" has completed 100% of its contents. Specifically, 6 technological processes have been successfully received and applied for technicians and goat farmers. In addition, the "Model for raising crossbred goats for meat (Boer x Bach Thao) in Binh Phuoc province" has been built, achieving results exceeding the project plan with the number of crossbred goats created being 2,760, reaching 142% of the plan. At the same time, 15 technicians have been trained and 100 people have been trained to apply technical processes for raising goats in local farming practices.

At the meeting, the council members evaluated and commented on the project implementation results. In addition to giving opinions to complete the dossier and report on the project implementation results, the members also highly appreciated the economic , social and environmental efficiency that the project brought. In response to the issues raised by the council members, the members participating in the research and implementation of the project explained 4 contents: Origin of the goat herd; nutritional standards for the goat herd; thorough application of 6 processes in goat care; disease prevention issues.

At the end of the acceptance session, the council members voted unanimously to approve the project and assessed the topic as successful.

In his concluding remarks, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh said: The Council assessed that this is a very good project topic, when this model is effectively applied in practice, it will contribute to improving the lives and incomes of farming households in particular, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in general. Compared to the initial objectives of the project, the research team has fully met and surpassed many goals, including building 6 processes as well as goat farming models for 60 households spread across the two districts of Loc Ninh and Bu Dang, training many households; linking purchases for 2 cooperatives and 1 company. The output results of this project all met and exceeded the initial requirements.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tuyet Minh highly agreed with the comments and assessments of the council members. The opinions of scientists and experts are very necessary for the content of the research group. From there, the research group is requested to absorb as much as possible, as a basis for making edits and completing the summary report.
