(NLDO) – The sad news of the passing of Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Hanh, Director of Lac Hong Music Center, has left many artists with sorrow.

Ms. Ngoc Hanh passed away at 6:18 p.m. on August 5 after two years of fighting ovarian cancer. Recently, she had been continuously admitted to Nguyen Trai Hospital for treatment. Despite the dedicated care of doctors, she passed away at the age of 72. Her passing has shocked and saddened the artistic community and music and theater lovers.

Her funeral will be held at her home: 504/17 Ba Hat Street, Dien Hong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The burial ceremony will take place at 6 a.m. on August 8, after which the coffin will be cremated at Binh Hung Hoa.

Ms. Truong Thi Thu Dung - former director of Rang Dong Music Center - shared that Ms. Hanh is originally from An Giang. Ms. Ngoc Hanh is not an artist, does not stand on stage or hold a microphone, but is a name known, loved and respected in the hearts of many generations of artists. "After retiring from Saigon Video Studio, she founded Lac Hong Music Center. As a director, she has supported countless young singers and artists with a wholehearted devotion to the profession and a loving and tolerant heart" - Ms. Truong Thi Thu Dung said.

One of the people who owes her the most is singer Dam Vinh Hung. Emotionally, he shared that when he was young and dreamed of releasing his first music album, no record company would release it because he was not a star. They were afraid of the risk and the investment.

Mrs. Ngoc Hanh, like a fateful coincidence, quietly listened to his confidences and accepted. She was the "midwife" for his first product. Without her, he would not have released his first album.

Singer Ho Khac Tung is a young singer, loved by the audience through his musical products, all of which were encouraged, helped and guided by his grandmother to complete the products in the best way. He confided: "From today, my mother Hanh is no longer in pain, she has rested in peace in the sorrow of many people. I am grateful to her and will never forget the memories of her."
