"This is the worst penalty kick I have ever seen," a fan said after midfielder Vitinha missed the opportunity from the 11m mark in the 66th minute of the second leg of the Champions League semi-final between PSG and Arsenal that took place in the early morning of May 8 (Vietnam time).

With a 1-0 lead over their opponents in the first leg of the semi-final, PSG increased their chances of advancing to the Champions League final when they opened the scoring in the 27th minute of the second leg at home at Parc des Princes thanks to a goal by Fabian Ruiz.

Not only that, in the 65th minute of the match, the capital team of Paris was also awarded a penalty for Myles Lewis-Skelly's handball in the penalty area when he tried to block Achraf Hakimi's shot.

Referee Zwayer initially allowed play to continue, but he reversed his decision and pointed to the penalty spot after reviewing the VAR screen. Notably, on the 11m mark, midfielder Vitinha had a confusing run-up before shooting too weakly to the right and goalkeeper David Raya easily dived to clear the ball.

"This is probably the worst penalty I've ever seen, that run-up was ridiculous," a PSG fan lamented Vitinha's penalty kick.

"Vitinha's penalty kick was the worst ever," another fan commented.

Another added: "Vitinha took a terrible penalty in a top game. Luckily PSG didn't have to pay for him."

Although Vitinha missed the penalty, PSG still got the second goal in the 72nd minute thanks to Achraf Hakimi's decisive finish in the penalty area.

Although Saka scored to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 76th minute, it was not enough as Arsenal lost to PSG 1-3 after two matches and missed the chance to advance to the dream final.

After defeating Arsenal, PSG will face Inter Milan in the final on June 1 in Munich (Germany).
