The "Exploring U.S. Agriculture " event, co-organized by the Office of Foreign Agricultural Services of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, officially opened at noon on July 19.

This large-scale event introduces high-quality and safe American agricultural products to Vietnamese consumers.
Acting U.S. Consul General Carolee A. Williamson expressed her delight in welcoming the distinguished guests. Ms. Williamson shared her particular fondness for Vietnamese cuisine and how food connects people, communities, and families.

Ms. Carolee A. Williamson, Acting U.S. Consul General, emphasized that this event is part of a series of activities celebrating 30 years of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Vietnam, highlighting the strong links between the food, beverage, and agricultural industries of the two countries.
She encouraged visitors to explore, interact, and enjoy the festival, and revealed two upcoming must-see events: the Friendship Festival and Restaurant Week in Ho Chi Minh City in September.

"Exploring American Agriculture" brings together 30 participants, including 15 American industry associations and 15 Vietnamese businesses.
The festival showcased a diverse range of products, from chicken and beef, cheese, potatoes, eggs, and ginseng, to canned goods imported from the United States, along with fashion brands made from American cotton and pet products.

In particular, people in Ho Chi Minh City have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited free food from July 19th to 20th, from 10 AM to 9 PM.

Mr. Francis Lee, Chief Representative of the Washington Apple Association (USA) in Vietnam, said that the "Discover American Agriculture" festival is an opportunity for Vietnamese consumers to directly experience high-quality agricultural products.




"Today, we're bringing a variety of delicious fresh fruits such as California nectarines, American blueberries, cherries, and Washington apples. Through these associations, we want to tap into the market and help Vietnamese consumers access high-quality products," Mr. Lee shared.




Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thao from the California Dairy Association booth enthusiastically introduced cheese products made from 100% fresh cow's milk from the state of California. "Our highlight product is Mozzarella cheese, a very popular cheese in pizzas, with its characteristic richness and stretchy texture that makes the pizza delicious," Ms. Thao said.
Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy free samples of California Milk cheeses on hot pizzas.



Meanwhile, Chef Le Xuan Tam from the American Egg and Poultry Export Association brought unique dishes made from American chicken. "This is a festival for networking and product introduction. My booth showcases American chicken, with some quite special dishes so that people can experience the quality of American chicken," Chef Tam shared. His "chicken meatballs stuffed with cheese and truffle sauce" promises to satisfy all diners, not only because of its appealing flavor but also because of its high nutritional value, providing enough energy for a light meal.
