Beauty Thuy Bui is one of 12 contestants who will compete in the Talent Rendezvous contest produced by Vietnam Television.
Thuy Bui's real name is Bui Thi Thanh Thuy, born in 1997 in Phu Yen . She won the Talented Beauty sub-award at two contests : Miss Vietnam Tourism 2020 and Miss Universe Vietnam 2022; in addition, she also "fought" Miss Grand Vietnam and Miss Cosmo Vietnam .
After 5 years of competing in beauty pageants, Thuy Bui stopped to focus on her greatest passion - music , determined to pursue her dream of becoming a professional singer.
Formally trained at the Military University of Culture and Arts, the beauty both studied and sang to nurture her passion. She believes that the Talent Rendezvous contest was a chance that came at the right time.
Thuy Bui is happy that her childhood idol - singer Ho Ngoc Ha is one of the three judges. She sees her as a role model of effort, perseverance with music, versatility, and talent to learn from.
"I admire multi-talented artists like Ho Ngoc Ha, but I understand that each person needs their own journey to shape their style and identity. I absorb positive values from them, and from there develop a musical path that suits me - honest, meticulous and profound," she shared.
Sharing about the Top 12, Thuy Bui sees that each person is talented and has their own story. She does not see them as competitors but chooses to learn, explore and develop herself together.
Few people know that Thuy Bui is a traditional martial arts coach. Sharing with VietNamNet reporters, the beauty has studied martial arts since she was a child, competed in the Phu Yen Traditional Martial Arts Association in 2012, winning a gold medal in the 51kg weight class.
A year later, she represented Vietnam at the International Traditional Martial Arts Festival in Binh Dinh Province. In 2018, she was awarded a third-degree assistant instructor certificate by the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation.
Few people would think she used to be a traditional martial arts instructor because of her fragile and weak appearance.
When she entered university, Thuy Bui no longer had time to pursue martial arts because she focused on music and beauty pageants. However, she is always grateful that this sport helps her have good physical strength, endurance and reflexes.
"These values are useful to me from beauty contests to music contests like Talent Rendezvous, especially with the 2-3 month filming time and stressful, pressured schedule," the 9X confided.
In addition, Thuy Bui also founded her own company and took on the position of CEO.
