Milan Fashion Week Fall - Winter 2025 brings many messages with special appeal.
Dsquared2 took inspiration from nightclubs to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Fendi celebrated its 100th anniversary. Versace reimagined its DNA heritage ahead of its planned acquisition. Dolce & Gabbana celebrated the coolness of real-life models.

Dsquared2
Twins Dean and Dan Caten celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Dsquared2 brand with their Fall/Winter 2025 show titled "Obsessed2".
The anniversary show was wild, quirky and not afraid to go overboard in true Dsquared2 style.
The scene is a street corner with limousines, pickup trucks, yellow taxis, and patrol cars appearing one after another, opening their doors for the models to step out and rush into the vast nightclub space. The catwalk is filled with colorful characters such as dancers, cowboys, policemen, etc.
Money was thrown all over the catwalk, bold, sexy and dark designs appeared one after another.
Many famous names appeared on the runway to celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary show, including Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Tyson Beckford, Alton Mason...
The show's closing moment was dramatic: Brigitte Nielsen appeared in uniform, "arresting" the Caten brothers - who were dressed in elegant tuxedos and large platform shoes. But they quickly "escaped" the handcuffs, opening the door to a bustling and fun after-show party (Photo: Dsquared2).
Gucci
The creative director position at Gucci is vacant following Sabato De Sarno's departure in early February. As a result, the Fall/Winter 2025 collection was created by an in-house design team. There were no major fashion statements or bold breakthroughs on the runway.
While the announcement of the new vision is still open, Gucci has brought back a collection of familiar signatures: a glittering sequin dress with a 60s silhouette, a fur-free version of the iconic loafers, a glittering double-G logo on a velvet catsuit, a silk slip dress, a peacoat with pleated details on the back…
Ignoring the interweaving of periods, some notable designs in the collection include faux fur coats paired with lace camisoles and pencil skirts, silk scarves wrapped around baseball caps...

Fendi
The Fall/Winter 2025 show marks the 100th anniversary of the Fendi brand. The catwalk was designed to recreate the Fendi atelier of the 1960s and 1970s.
Shows that combine menswear and womenswear rarely achieve a perfect balance, as womenswear almost always steals the spotlight. However, designer Silvia Fendi cleverly showcased the intersection between the two genders, through mohair sweaters with gradient stripes, elaborate embroidery, cashmere polo shirts, zigzag mink coats in Fendi's signature brown color...
Some notable designs in the collection include coats and dresses with soft fur surfaces, stone-studded outfits, red polka-dot dresses, lemon-yellow caban coats, low-waisted lace-trimmed dresses, quilted leather pointed-shoulder dresses... (Photo: Fendi).
Prada
Prada's Fall/Winter 2025 show was a fusion of Brutalism and Baroque art. Models walked a catwalk built with rustic scaffolding and custom-designed carpets printed with intricate patterns.
Two designers - Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons - wanted to explore the way femininity and beauty are defined.
This resulted in a collection that mixed classic elegance (sturdy clutches, pointed-toe pumps, flared skirts) and intentional subversion (messy hair, sturdy sweatshirts, pajama-inspired outfits).
Which begs the question: Is femininity always associated with looking “neat”? And who do women do it for?
Miuccia Prada has long been fascinated by how women dress against the male gaze. For her Fall/Winter 2025 collection, she continues to delve into this.
Many of the symbols of femininity in fashion are inverted. Sheath dresses, puffy elastic-waist skirts, and oversized coats are deliberately defying traditional sex appeal. Bows are flattened rather than softly curved.
The interesting points lie in the eccentric details: the model's hair is wrapped around a necklace, decorative accessories dangle from the neck of a sweater, the shirt is intricately twisted and paired with a super short skirt... (Photo: Prada).
Versace
According to Vogue , some rumors about the Versace brand being sold added drama to the Fall - Winter 2025 show.
Some wondered: Was this show Donatella Versace's farewell? While others asked: What would Versace be like without Donatella?
Since the death of her brother Gianni Versace in 1997, Donatella Versace has been at the helm of the brand and has created countless amazing designs. In the Fall - Winter 2025 collection, Donatella Versace once again showed her absolute understanding of Versace's DNA.
She brought back many heritage designs from the brand’s history to the catwalk. In addition, some designs expressed a message towards the future, including jeans embroidered with stones, creative 3D printed shirts and dresses… (Photo: Versace).
Dolce & Gabbana
Designer duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana took inspiration from the everyday style of models to create the Fall - Winter 2025 collection called "Cool Girls".
Each design exudes the freedom typical of "Off-Duty" models - the style of dress of models when not performing, when traveling between shows or walking on the street.
A series of highly practical designs were introduced with diverse mix-and-match styles such as classic T-shirts, baggy cargo pants, ripped jeans, leather jackets, jerseys (a type of oversized sports shirt), high-top boots...
Dolce & Gabbana's collections are not without Sicilian style, interpreted with black lace details, lingerie, leopard prints, sparkling accessories...
The final part of the collection is a series of designs of mesh dresses, fringed flapper dresses, see-through dresses with minimalist lingerie, and short dresses with rhinestones... showing the honor of the beauty of the female body (Photo: Dolce & Gabbana).
Giorgio Armani
This year, the Giorgio Armani brand turns 50. The eponymous designer decided to hold a show in his hometown. He chose the name "Radici" - meaning "roots" in Italian - for the collection.
Inspiration from the natural world is expressed through a harmony of deep, rustic colors.
A woman dressed in Giorgio Armani never appears rushed or hasty. Loose, flowing silhouettes and soft cashmere and velvet are the hallmarks. Even the way Armani designs suits has a relaxed quality.
The model was perfectly accessorized with a wide belt, a hat worn askew, a sculptural necklace, and a scarf tied like a cape.
Although the designs may appear minimalist and modest, upon closer inspection it is easy to notice the many exquisite details: meticulous embroidery, luxurious jacquard patterns, and intricate embellishments (Photo: Giorgio Armani).
