Harry bent and cut bamboo cage details to create the evening gown. He also came up with ideas for the hairstyle, earrings and hair jewelry using bamboo.

From used clothes to international catwalk: An incredible journey

Recently, the online community was abuzz with the news that Harry Nista appeared for the first time at China Fashion Week Fall Winter 2025.

On his personal page, the 25-year-old model excitedly shared: "It's unbelievable that a boy from Phu Yen is now in Beijing, performing in 6 different shows."

In particular, in Maggie Ma's collection, Harry made a strong impression with two unconventional suits combined with sky-high platform shoes.

Few people know that, before becoming an internet phenomenon, Nguyen Anh Tu (Harry's real name) had to give up his dream of fashion design due to difficult family circumstances.

He worked all kinds of jobs, from hotel staff to flight attendant, before deciding to pursue his true passion in late 2023.

Those who follow Harry realize one special thing: each of his outfits contains a story about family affection.

"My grandmother was the one who saved me from my darkest period of depression," Harry shared on social media.

Old ao ba ba (traditional Vietnamese dress), faded silk pants or old floral linen clothes are all "breathed life" into designs that are both modern and nostalgic.

The online community couldn't help but laugh at the story he told: "Every time I go back to my hometown, my grandmother worries because her wardrobe is gradually shrinking. But when she sees the old clothes I transform, she laughs happily."

Not only does Harry mix and match clothes, he also cuts and sews them himself, turning them into completely new designs.

Social media phenomenon and amazing progress

From the first videos filmed with his grandmother, Harry Nista created a fever with millions of views on TikTok. Gradually, he expanded the "cast" to include his parents, aunts and even his young nephew.

Success on social media opened up many new opportunities for Harry. He was sought after by brands and participated in many major fashion events.

Notably, after only two months of creating a Douyin account, the Phu Yen boy attracted 800,000 followers - an impressive number for someone new to the Chinese market.

With the advantage of being 1m85 tall, Harry confidently wears the most complicated outfits. He constantly experiments with unique materials: from tape, feather dusters to bamboo mats, and ba ba scarves.

On the catwalk, Harry Nista is building the image of a multi-style fashionista - sometimes elegant with neat suits, sometimes unconventional with avant-garde designs.

But perhaps, what makes the public love him the most is the warm family love that is always present in every creation.

Harry's journey from granny suits to the international catwalk is not just a fashion story, but also a living testament to the power of passion and determination.
