For the second consecutive year, revenue on the first day of sales of the new generation iPhone reached more than one trillion VND despite forecasts of economic difficulties.
The iPhone 15 generation officially hit shelves at 0:00 on September 29, marking the first year Vietnam has been included in Apple's second sales, just one week after major markets such as the US, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand. Most retail systems said sales were "much better than expected" amid a gloomy phone market for over 9 months.
Specifically, on September 29, about 35,000 iPhone 15 versions were delivered to customers, achieving total revenue of more than one trillion VND. Of which, TopZone (The Gioi Di Dong) alone sold more than 15,000 devices and revenue of 500 billion VND, accounting for nearly 50% of the market share. Systems such as FPT Shop, CellPhoneS, ShopDunk, Hoang Ha Mobile also reported sales of 2,000-7,000 devices.
Most of the devices were sold in the first hours. FPT Shop did not disclose the total revenue of the day, but said that more than 5,000 devices delivered overnight had reached 150 billion VND. Meanwhile, the CellphoneS system chain also delivered 1,500 devices in just the first two hours.

The best-selling version is also the most expensive model, iPhone 15 Pro Max, accounting for 50-70% of sales in the systems. This figure is lower than last year's 80-90%. A representative of CelPhoneS explained that the number of imported devices is low and this year Vietnamese consumers have also started to pay more attention to the two regular versions with eye-catching colors and features that are not much inferior.
Most systems have reported that the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max in natural titanium color are out of stock. Users only have the option of blue and black with a high capacity of 1 TB. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have better sales than their predecessors, and the most popular color, pink, is also out of stock.

Although it is the second consecutive year with a revenue of thousands of billions on the opening day, according to the systems, the iPhone 15 is still lower than the record of the iPhone 14 last year when it achieved a revenue of over 1,500 billion VND. A representative of Hoang Ha Mobile said there are two main reasons affecting this decrease.
Firstly, because it was the first year that Vietnam was sold in September, the number of devices allocated by Apple was not as large as last year. The number of color versions imported was not in accordance with the registration records of retailers with the company, leading to "hot" models quickly falling into a state of being out of stock. The systems still had iPhone 15 series for sale, but most of them were regular versions, with less attractive colors, such as black.
Second, the price of the iPhone 15 this year is a few percent lower than before due to the appearance of the Apple Store Online. "Apple's price ceiling in the Vietnamese market forces retailers to adjust to the same or lower price to attract users. In addition, the two versions of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus sell better, so with the same number of devices sold, revenue will decrease compared to last year," this person explained.
Previously, many systems were concerned that the difficult economy could seriously affect iPhone 15 sales. However, a representative of an importer said that the initial delivery volume was not enough to meet user demand, as many orders had to be delivered in October and November. "We have to wait until the next shipments at the end of this month and compare purchasing power to be able to properly assess the appeal of the iPhone 15 compared to previous years," this person said.
