Heavy rain threatens to cause widespread urban flooding across the province.

Accordingly, in the past 24 hours, the province has had rain, moderate rain, scattered heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places. Rainfall from 2:00 p.m. on November 2 to 2:00 p.m. on November 3 was generally 30-80mm, some places were higher: Loc Tien (Phu Loc) 80.2mm, Bach Ma National Park 88.8mm, Bach Ma 152.4mm, Bach Ma peak 163.2mm...

It is forecasted that in 24 to 48 hours from the afternoon of November 3 to 7:00 p.m. on November 5, there will be heavy rain and very heavy rain in the province. Total rainfall will be 150-300mm, with some places over 400mm.

Warning from the night of November 5 to November 9, there will continue to be heavy rain, very heavy rain. Total rainfall is commonly 300-550mm, some places over 700mm; total rainfall for the whole period is commonly 500-850mm, some places over 1000mm.

Heavy rains are likely to cause floods, flash floods, landslides, and rock slides in mountainous areas and along rivers and streams; landslides on river banks and riverside wharves in all districts, towns, and Hue City.

People need to proactively guard against heavy rain in a short period of time (can reach over 150mm/hour and over 300mm/6 hours) which can cause widespread urban flooding across the province. After November 9, the rain situation in Thua Thien Hue will remain very complicated, so it is necessary to pay attention to further heavy rain forecasts.
