Many friends, colleagues, researchers, and relatives came to congratulate and share joy with journalist Bui Ngoc Long when his "brainchild" was born on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and his 20th year working at Thanh Nien Newspaper.

“Following the Golden Mark” is a collection and selection of long-term series of articles published in Thanh Nien Newspaper over the years. Most of the articles revolve around the theme of Hue culture and heritage. Notable series include: Feng Shui of Hue Citadel, Searching for traces of the Twenty-Seven Sacred Scenes, Following the Traces of the Tay Son Dynasty, Stories of Royal Physicians of the Nguyen Dynasty, Secrets of Minh Mang Thang, Sacred Mountains, Strange Fate of Research on the Restoration of Can Chanh Palace, The Quintessence of Hue Martial Arts, etc.

Admitting that he is not someone who chooses to research heritage, but as a journalist, he has pursued current issues, seeing how contemporary people respond to heritage. “And from that current story, the writer hopes to bring readers a look at heritage with love,” journalist Bui Ngoc Long confided.

Also at the book launch, many readers asked questions to "interview" journalist Bui Ngoc Long about his career journey, love for culture and heritage.

Before releasing “Following the Golden Trail”, journalist Bui Ngoc Long also published two poetry collections “Where is the Zen Master (Thuan Hoa Publishing House 2018) and “4 Friends One Joy” (co-published, Thuan Hoa Publishing House 2018).
