Madam Pang's action is said to continue to promote the special campaign "Thai people love Thai football" which has been approved. From there, money will be raised from many activities, to help FAT overcome the current very tragic financial difficulties. Among them are many debts and a lawsuit against the media company Siam Sport, with a total amount currently up to more than 500 million baht (more than 380 billion VND).
Meanwhile, the Thai national team has just gathered with 23 players to prepare for the matches against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. In this call-up, the "War Elephants" have the return of veteran faces such as midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin. However, two midfielders Jaroensak Wonggorn (Cerezo Osaka Club) and Ekanit Panya (Ehime FC), who are playing in Japan, are both absent.
Coach Masatada Ishii revealed: "Jaroensak Wonggorn and Ekanit Panya were not called up because they have very little playing time at their clubs. I also received a few other requests to withdraw from the team. I cannot announce who they are yet. However, my point of view is very clear, if a player wants to withdraw, I will be ready to respond because there is always an alternative plan."
