The Academy of Finance announces the following admission methods: direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission of candidates with outstanding abilities; admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam; combined admission.

Compared to last year, this year the Academy of Finance has abandoned the method of selecting candidates using the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam; and has abandoned the consideration of the results of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment exam.

Last year, the academy reserved at least 5% of its quota for candidates to participate in the admission process based on the results of these two separate exams.

The Academy of Finance plans to enroll 6,320 full-time university students this year (an increase of 1,820 compared to last year). Of these, the academy will reserve 3,300 enrollment quotas for international certificate-oriented programs; 2,700 enrollment quotas for standard programs; and 320 enrollment quotas for international joint programs.

In addition, the school plans to enroll 14 new training programs. Of these, 9 programs are oriented towards international certificates, meeting the needs of candidates for in-depth study according to world standards; 5 new standard programs such as data science in finance, artificial intelligence in finance - accounting, political economy - finance, law, financial mathematics.

On April 9, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a document requiring universities to review the combination and admission methods to ensure the basic knowledge and core competencies that candidates need to have to study.

The Ministry of Education and Training emphasized that 2025 is the first year to organize high school graduation exams and university admissions according to the new general education program. According to this program, at the high school level, students choose subject combinations according to knowledge groups, and may not study some subjects. Therefore, to ensure university admissions are in accordance with regulations, training quality and fairness among candidates, the Ministry requires training institutions to strictly implement current regulations and guidance documents.

"Schools should pay special attention to training programs, majors, and groups that use many combinations and admission methods. Schools that choose subject combinations for admission must ensure that they are based on the requirements of basic knowledge and core competencies that candidates need to have to study," the Ministry of Education and Training clearly stated the requirements.
