Specifically, the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment decided to administratively fine Huong Bang Stone Exploitation and Construction Joint Stock Company (Huong Bang stone quarry, Khe Day, Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town) 50 million VND for not following the correct procedures and forms for mineral exploitation for common construction materials using industrial explosives.
Fine Thanh Binh An Company Limited (a quarry for common construction materials in Son Thuy commune, A Luoi district) 110 million VND for not reporting the actual mineral output in accordance with the procedures and forms prescribed for mining minerals for common construction materials using industrial explosives and not exploiting according to the parameters of the mining system.
Regarding Que Lam Central Company Limited (peat mine in the Bac Nay agarwood area, Phong Chuong commune, Phong Dien district), the Inspectorate of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is preparing to issue a penalty decision because this enterprise was also determined to have problems and violations in the mineral sector.
The leader of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thua Thien - Hue province said that through inspection work, detecting and strictly handling violating enterprises, contributing to rectifying the activities of mine owners in complying with the provisions of the law on mineral exploitation; creating fair and healthy competition among enterprises operating in this field.
Recently, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also advised the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province to issue a decision to fine mine owners whose mineral exploitation licenses have expired for many months but have not submitted documents to request mine closure as prescribed. Specifically, the Provincial People's Committee fined Hoang Ngoc Company Limited and Duy Thai Company Limited each VND120 million.
