The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam shared with The World and Vietnam Newspaper about the significance of this special event.
What special dishes will the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam introduce at the 2025 International Food Culture Festival? What special significance do these dishes have in Chinese culture and history?
The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam attaches great importance to the preparation for this year's International Food Culture Festival, and has arranged for Chinese national chefs to prepare a traditional Shaanxi specialty dish - "Ru Jia Mo" (Shaanxi meat sandwich).
This dish is famous for its crispy crust and fragrant meat filling. It has a history of more than 2,000 years, originating from the Qin Dynasty, with an elaborate preparation process. It is not only a delicious dish, but also a cultural inheritance, imbued with the identity of the Shaanxi region and the flavor of Western China.

In addition, the globally renowned beverage brand Mixue will also be present at this year's culinary event, offering high-quality tea, fresh juice, ice cream and coffee products at affordable prices.
How does the Embassy assess the scale and importance of this year's International Culinary Culture Festival? What is different compared to last year?
The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting the continuous development of China-Vietnam friendly relations, and actively supports activities organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic corps.
During the preparation process for the International Culinary Festival, we realized that this year's scale will be larger, and the dishes will be more diverse and richer than last year.

“Food comes first for people”, cuisine is an important bridge of cultural exchange, can break down language and cultural barriers, enhance friendship and understanding between peoples.
The International Culinary Culture Festival has become a new bridge for dialogue and exchange between civilizations, while enriching the culinary experience of Vietnamese people and enhancing the cultural tourism image of Hanoi city.
By gathering culinary quintessence from all over the world, event attendees can experience a “global taste tour” right in Hanoi.
After this year's International Culinary Culture Festival, what plans does the Embassy have to continue promoting Chinese cuisine to the Vietnamese people?
Cuisine is a gateway to understanding China and Chinese culture. Many Vietnamese people began to learn about China through Chinese food, and because of their love for Chinese cuisine, they gradually fell in love with Chinese culture.
China and Vietnam have similar cultures, both believe that cuisine is not only to fill the stomach, but also a form of art - focusing on color, flavor and form; a form of culture - carrying many profound meanings; at the same time a philosophy of life, reflecting the spirit of "harmony without dissimilarity" of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.
The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam will continue to contribute to promoting culinary cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam, helping people of the two countries understand each other better and become closer through familiar flavors.
