Many social science majors at Hanoi National University do not consider combination C00.

The C00 combination, which is the original combination of many social sciences and humanities majors, is no longer used by Hanoi National University for admission.

Today, June 4, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued information on university admissions for 2025. The school's notable new feature in this year's admissions is that it does not use the C00 combination for admissions to a series of majors that are traditionally the choice of candidates in group C.

This year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi only uses 3 admission methods: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, considering the results of the HSA assessment test, considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores. Candidates who won prizes in national or provincial competitions for excellent students, candidates with SAT scores... will receive bonus points. Candidates with international certificates in foreign languages ​​will be converted to foreign language scores in the admission combination including foreign languages.

The school uses 8 combinations for admission, including: C00 (literature, history, geography); D01 (math, literature, English); D04 (math, literature, Chinese); D06 (math, literature, Japanese); DD2 (math, literature, Korean); D14 (literature, English, history); D15 (literature, English, geography); D66 (literature, English, economic and legal education). But some majors only use 2 combinations, some use 6 combinations, the most common is 4 combinations.

Notably, out of 28 major codes, only 9 major codes recruit the C00 combination (last year, 24 major codes used this combination). A series of majors that originally considered C00 as the original combination such as journalism, public relations, psychology, cultural studies, Vietnamese studies, sociology, social work... no longer use this combination.
