Journalist Bui Tien Dung - director of the training center and head of the education department of Tuoi Tre newspaper - affirmed this at the closing ceremony of the "Journalism with Tuoi Tre " training program on the afternoon of June 8th.
The two-day program (June 7th and 8th) was exclusively for students of Cuu Long University, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the university and Tuoi Tre newspaper.
According to Mr. Dung, there are several indicators confirming the program's success. Firstly, safety is a key factor, as nearly 100 students from Vinh Long who came to Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the activities were all healthy, in good spirits, and full of energy.
Secondly, the program consists of five consecutive, intensive sessions over two days, with numerous activities in various locations, from classrooms to newsrooms, studios, and especially an experiential and practical reporting trip on the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line.
All students participated fully and submitted photographic products for the instructors to review and evaluate. Many students' products were selected, met the standards, and were published on Tuoi Tre Online .
The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students at the end of the program served as a foundation for Tuoi Tre newspaper to confidently develop this model with many subsequent courses for students of Cuu Long University as well as other universities nationwide.
