Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture
Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates - UAE), Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates, named after the late President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - founder of the nation. The project was inaugurated in 2007, costing more than 545 million USD and mobilizing thousands of artisans from around the world . The building is covered with more than 100,000 tons of white marble imported from Greece and Italy, shining under the desert sun. The highlight is 82 magnificent domes, more than 1,000 marble columns studded with pearls and precious stones, and four 107 m high minaret towers symbolizing the rise of faith. When visiting the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, visitors need to dress modestly, women wear headscarves and keep silent in the prayer area, showing respect for local beliefs.

Museum of "light" on the shores of the Arabian Gulf
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an architectural masterpiece designed by architect Jean Nouvel, featuring a giant circular dome and magical use of light to create a "city of light". The project was completed after more than 10 years of construction with the consent of France when Abu Dhabi "lent" the name Louvre. This is part of the UAE's agreement with the Agence France-Museums organization worth 1 billion USD. Visitors to the Louvre Abu Dhabi will admire more than 600 works, half of which are from the museum's collections.
