In early April, we climbed the winding slopes to witness and share the joy with the family of Ms. Ly Thi Thuong (Then Thau village) because the Immigration Department (Provincial Police) supported them to build a new house. Her husband (Mr. Ly Sai Kin) was working abroad, when the house was dismantled, the commune leaders were present in time to call on the Party cell, the village, the commune police force, the militia, and neighbors to help Ms. Thuong when the breadwinner of the family was away from home.
Phan Xa Nhat and Ly Dau Quay (Giao Chan village) are also eligible for support to build a new house this time. They were just separated from their parents in 2024 with only a few hundred square meters of land (both residential land and garden land) as capital. To save as much money as possible, Quang spent a whole month going up the mountain to transport bamboo to build the house walls and buy some proximang sheets for roofing. The bed for him, his wife and their children is just bamboo poles and bamboo strips. With 3 children of school age, it is difficult to earn enough to feed and educate them, let alone save up to build a house. Not to mention a large debt that the couple previously borrowed to pay for their father's funeral. Now that they have received 60 million VND in support, the couple does not have even one million VND to pay for it. "Even though we can only build a house with the support money, having a more secure place to live is a precious thing for my husband and I," said Ms. Phan Xa Nhat in a sad voice.
Previously, the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department (Provincial Police) started building 4 houses for poor households in Ban Lang commune. These houses were not only carefully designed by the police force but also built in a systematic and methodical manner to ensure the "3 hard" criteria (hard foundation, hard frame, hard roof). With great determination, the police force completed and handed over 6 houses to poor households in May. Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Hong Duong - Head of the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department said: Together with the construction team of the house-building unit, the project was implemented urgently, racing against the schedule in the hot and humid weather to provide households with housing before the rainy season. We did it with all the affection and responsibility of a people's police officer. This is a clear demonstration of the spirit of "Serving the people" of the Lai Chau police force, always present when people need it, when people are in trouble.
Leaders of the Immigration Management Department (Provincial Police) and the Ban Lang commune government helped the family of Ms. Ly Thi Thuong (Then Thau village) transport and dismantle the house.
It is known that through survey, evaluation and selection, the whole commune has 93 households eligible for support to remove temporary and dilapidated houses. Determining that this is an important political task, not the work of any individual or organization, social organizations such as youth, women, militia... mobilized members to join hands to help families transport furniture, dismantle old houses, and clear the ground for construction. In addition, with all understanding and sympathy, the Party Committee and the commune government mobilized all support resources from the whole society including: businesses, philanthropists and individuals to contribute to build 4 houses for poor households. The work of the Party Committee and the commune government of Ban Lang to remove temporary and dilapidated houses shows love and sharing with poor families and is a great responsibility in ensuring social security of the locality.
Comrade Nguyen Huy Du - Secretary of the Commune Party Committee said: To ensure the legal conditions for house construction, the commune ensures maximum support for procedures for granting land use right certificates; making citizen identification cards for households to complete the procedures. Many families in areas far from the center, with little contact, do not fully understand the quality of each type of material, the commune stands up to advance and ensure the quality of materials for households to build houses on schedule. At the same time, it is a bridge between businesses and people in conducting material purchase and sale transactions.
Grasping the daily and weekly progress and closely urging and supporting families to complete their houses before the rainy season, the Party Committee and the government of Ban Lang commune put the heart first so that the "3 hard" houses for the poor are all illuminated with the humanistic values of the Party, State, local government, mass organizations and armed forces from the province to the commune.
