Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command said that the activity of giving gifts to policy households and families in difficult circumstances in Suoi Ngo commune is one of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the traditional day of the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard (May 25, 1975 - May 25, 2025).

Officers and soldiers of the Tay Ninh Provincial Border Guard have saved rice bags in their meals as well as called for donations from benefactors to support people in difficult circumstances in the border area with the desire to help them overcome difficulties in life. Thereby, strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, so that people can stabilize their lives and, together with the Border Guard, participate in firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border.

The Provincial Border Guard Command presented 100 gifts to 100 policy households and families in difficult circumstances in Suoi Ngo commune. Each gift is worth more than 600,000 VND, including food, necessities and 300,000 VND in cash.

Mr. Pham Van Cu (residing in Suoi Ngo commune) said that his wife passed away 15 years ago. He has a son who is now 23 years old and mentally ill due to the effects of Agent Orange. He has no land to produce and no job.

Every month, the father and son rely on the local government and departments to support them with 750,000 VND. “Now that I have received the gift, I don’t know what else to say, I sincerely thank the local government and the border guards for giving the gift to the people.”

Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Anh (residing in Suoi Ngo commune) shared: “My husband passed away, I live alone, my children have their own families and are also in difficulty. I am very happy to receive gifts because I have money to buy medicine.”

The gift-giving activity is also an opportunity for officers and soldiers of the Border Guard to learn more deeply about the actual conditions of the people in the area, thereby promptly supporting and overcoming difficulties. This is a practical program, imbued with profound humanity, further enhancing the solidarity between the army and the people, the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the image of "soldiers in green uniforms" in the new situation.
