Ninh Binh is ready to start construction of the first high-speed railway resettlement area.

This is one of 34 main points of the Inauguration and Groundbreaking Ceremony of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day, scheduled to be held on August 19.

The project is being implemented in Giap Nhi Residential Group, Dong Van Ward with the goal of synchronously building a technical infrastructure system according to the planning, meeting the resettlement requirements and stabilizing the lives of households affected by the site clearance of the North-South high-speed railway project in Dong Van Ward, Ninh Binh Province.

This level IV technical infrastructure project has a total investment of 9.9 billion VND including the construction of a traffic system and technical infrastructure (water supply, drainage, communication, power supply, lighting) according to the approved plan with an area of about 1.17 hectares.

According to the Ninh Binh Department of Construction, as of August 12, the conditions for the project's commencement have been completed, including the completion of site clearance; approval of construction drawing design documents; completion of contractor selection and signing of contracts with contractors...

The high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Ninh Binh province is about 86 km long, passing through 22 communes and wards: Thanh Binh, Liem Ha, Binh An, Binh Son, Binh My, Binh Giang, Lien Minh, Yen Cuong, Yen Dong, Van Thang, Dong Van, Ha Nam , Tien Son, Liem Tuyen, My Loc, Dong A, Thanh Nam, Truong Thi, Dong Hoa Lu, Nam Hoa Lu, Yen Thang, Trung Son.

The section through Ninh Binh has 3 station locations, including: Phu Ly station located in Liem Tuyen ward; Nam Dinh station located in My Loc ward and Ninh Binh station located in Yen Thang ward; 3 maintenance station locations, located in Binh Son commune, Lien Minh commune and Yen Thang ward.

The total estimated area of land clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project through Ninh Binh province is about 317.5 hectares.

Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee is directing the Department of Construction and People's Committees of communes and wards where the Project passes through to continue to urgently review site clearance data to ensure accuracy according to the boundary markers provided by the Railway Project Management Board, Ministry of Construction.

Currently, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has identified 40 locations for planned resettlement and is urgently reviewing and implementing investment procedures according to regulations; some resettlement areas are scattered in residential areas and urban areas with basically completed infrastructure.

Regarding the implementation of the land exploitation planning for the area around the station according to the TOD model, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province is assigning the specialized construction investment project management boards of the province to organize the establishment of zoning plans for urban development areas according to the public transport orientation in the railway station areas and surrounding areas.

In particular, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee plans to develop TOD in Phu Ly station area with a scale of about 1,150 hectares, Nam Dinh station area with a scale of about 920 hectares and Ninh Binh station area with a scale of about 3,420 hectares.
