(NLDO)- Sun Group commits to sponsoring the construction of a green park, playground space to serve the community, and a memorial for COVID-19 victims before Lunar New Year 2026.

Sun Group Corporation has just sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee pledging to sponsor the construction of a green park, a playground for the community, and a memorial for COVID-19 victims before the Lunar New Year 2026.

Sun Group also notified the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee about the appointment of its member unit, Vung Tau Urban Development and Investment Company Limited, to represent the group in investing in the construction of the project as a sponsor.

Previously, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee had just issued an official dispatch conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc on implementing the direction of the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang at the meeting on the plan to renovate the land plot No. 1 Ly Thai To, Vuon Lai Ward.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to hand over the land plot at No. 1 Ly Thai To Street to the sponsor, the Sun Group Corporation, before October 31, so that the sponsor can build a green park, a playground for the community, and a memorial for COVID-19 victims, to be completed and put into use before the Lunar New Year 2026.

The HCM City Department of Planning and Architecture was assigned to organize the inventory, evaluation and classification of villas on the land before November 10. At the same time, guide the People's Committee of Vuon Lai Ward to organize the establishment of local adjustments to the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan on the above land.
