Việt NamViệt Nam26/10/2024

Thanh Hoa province is setting ambitious economic development goals with plans to establish many new businesses in 2024. Local authorities in the province have proactively implemented various measures and support programs to achieve this goal, contributing to making Thanh Hoa a shining example in the nationwide movement for entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development.

To achieve the goal of establishing at least 80 new businesses in 2024, Yen Dinh district has implemented a series of comprehensive solutions. The District People's Committee has not only issued numerous guiding documents but also developed specific policies to support startups and business development. Public awareness campaigns play a crucial role, helping people and business households understand the policies and guidelines through various information channels, creating motivation for individuals and organizations to participate in the business market. The district has invested heavily in production and business infrastructure and large-scale projects such as the Northwest Industrial Cluster of Quan Lao town and the Yen Lam stone carving village industrial cluster, opening up many opportunities for businesses and households to rent land. At the same time, the district requires communes and towns to publicly disclose land use plans and zoning plans so that businesses and individuals can easily access and study them, thereby attracting more investors to the area.

In parallel, the district actively supports businesses in accessing preferential loans from banks and credit institutions. Training, legal advice, and improving business management skills for new business owners are also emphasized. The government encourages businesses to apply digital technology and participate in e-commerce platforms to enhance their competitiveness.

These efforts have yielded positive results. In the first nine months of 2024, Yen Dinh district established 58 new businesses, achieving 73.1% of the annual plan and increasing by 67% compared to the same period last year. This is an encouraging achievement, reflecting not only the district's determination to implement economic development plans but also contributing to job creation and improving the lives of local people.

In 2024, Trieu Son district aims to establish 70 new businesses to boost economic development. The district leverages the advantages of industries such as garment manufacturing, footwear, and construction materials to attract businesses. For eligible business households and farm owners, the district strengthens dissemination of information about the State's policies encouraging business development and provides information on tax declaration procedures. In addition, the district implements support policies from the Government and the Provincial People's Committee to raise awareness about business development. The Finance and Planning Department guides businesses through the registration process and issues a support mechanism of 2.5 million VND for each newly established business. The district also maintains regular meetings between the Chairman of the District People's Committee and businesses to listen to feedback and find solutions to overcome difficulties.

As of the end of September 2024, the district had established 55 new businesses, achieving 79.8% of the plan and increasing by 45.3% compared to the same period last year. These efforts not only helped achieve the target for the number of new businesses but also improved the investment environment, creating momentum for sustainable development in the future.

Tho Xuan District consistently excels in its annual business development plan, often achieving targets ahead of schedule. The district not only implements solutions such as propaganda, mobilization, and review of individual households to promote business development, but also effectively utilizes the role of political organizations and associations in identifying and supporting potential candidates, thereby fostering business establishment. In the first nine months of 2024, Tho Xuan District established 110 new businesses, and is continuing to implement comprehensive solutions from the district level down to the grassroots with the goal of establishing 150 new businesses this year.

According to data from the Department of Planning and Investment, in the first nine months of 2024, more than 2,400 new businesses were registered in the province, reaching 80.37% of the plan, an increase of 22.51% compared to the same period last year; registered charter capital reached nearly VND 18,500 billion, an increase of 43.5% compared to the same period last year, with an average registered charter capital of VND 7.64 billion per business. The number of newly established businesses in the province in the first nine months of 2024 ranked 8th nationwide and first among the provinces in the North Central region. Some localities had a high number of newly established businesses compared to the plan, including Nhu Xuan (180%), Thuong Xuan (173.3%), Thieu Hoa (156.4%), Trieu Son (126.7%), Nong Cong (124.6%), and Ba Thuoc (110%).

Despite achieving many positive results, the province's new enterprise development efforts still face some limitations, such as the small scale of enterprises, the low percentage of sustainably developing enterprises, and imbalances in sectors and regions; some localities develop enterprises based on trends, leading to low operational efficiency and competitiveness...

To enhance the efficiency and sustainability of business development, the Department of Planning and Investment will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee on resolving difficulties related to land resources, finance, and expanding production and business. Simultaneously, it will focus on reforming administrative procedures and coordinating with the Provincial Inspectorate to improve inspection and auditing activities in the province. However, to facilitate businesses, a coordinated effort from all departments, agencies, and localities is essential to create a transparent and efficient business environment.
