People's Artist Mai Hoa tells a sad love story with Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan

Pre-war music is the first genre of Vietnamese modern music with romantic lyrical sounds that appeared in the late 1930s. Pre-war songs often have lyrical melodies and lyrics rich in literary qualities. These songs are full of romance but also extremely poetic about love between couples with pain, separation, reunion and separation, but hidden deep in each song is the pure, innocent love of youth. Perhaps that is why the songs of the early period of Modern Music have had a lasting vitality, a strong and profound influence from the day of their birth until today.

Selecting good works of this music genre, the program "The boat without a dock" is considered one of the music nights that has been loved and welcomed by audiences since the first season of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater.

In "The Boat Without a Dock 8", the audience will meet again the love songs of the composers of the early romantic lyric music of modern Vietnamese music such as: Autumn Rain Drops (musician Dang The Phong), Farewell (musician Doan Man); To My Southern Sister (musicians Doan Chuan - Tu Linh), Winter Night (lyrics: Kim Minh, music: Nguyen Van Thuong), Poor Life (musician Lam Phuong)...

The program was edited and staged by People's Artist, Director Tran Binh, with Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang - Director of Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater as artistic director, with the participation of artists: People's Artist Mai Hoa - a successful singer in lyrical music, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan with a beautiful voice and a genuine, simple but very expressive and attractive performance style on stage; along with singers Minh Thu, Ho Trung Dung, Tuan Hiep, Lo Thuy... They will perform works as if letting love stories exist in old love songs.

People's Artist Mai Hoa is especially loved for pre-war songs with smooth, deep melodies. She came to pre-war music by chance, when she was accidentally invited to participate in a music series including songs that have been with her for a long time and discovered that she had the talent to sing pre-war music.

Gradually, the name Mai Hoa has made an impression on the audience in this music genre. In the upcoming music night "Con thuyen khong ben", People's Artist Mai Hoa will perform songs that have entered the hearts of music lovers: Dem dong, Gui nguoi em gai mien Nam, La do muon chieu .

Pre-war music is considered a genre of music that is picky about its singers, but is loved by generations, especially in middle age, when life has gone through many ups and downs, gains and losses.
