“Clean water for a green, sustainable countryside”

The annual National Week of Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation (from April 29 to June 5) was launched by the Prime Minister since 1998.

Responding to the National Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation Week 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has chosen the theme "Clean water for a green and sustainable countryside" with the aim of raising awareness, responsibility, and participation of people, households, communities, sectors, unions, socio-political organizations, and local authorities in joining hands to implement rural clean water work towards protecting water sources, living environment, exploiting and using water economically and sustainably, improving the quality of life and completing the goal of building new rural areas at all levels in the period of 2021-2025.

To deploy the organization to respond to the National Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation Week in 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requests provincial and local departments, branches, organizations, and units to widely disseminate on mass media (newspapers, radio, television, etc.), hang banners, posters, and billboards at offices, public places, and main traffic routes with the goal and content of clean water supply and rural environmental sanitation to create momentum and encourage everyone to actively respond to the Week. Ceremony with the theme "Clean water for a green, sustainable countryside".

Organize online communication campaigns on social networking sites, websites of socio-political organizations, and local schools to educate, raise awareness, and change community behavior regarding clean water use, environmental sanitation, and personal hygiene to improve health and prevent disease. For schools, it is possible to integrate educational activities and propaganda about the above contents into teachers' lectures during class periods.

Implementation period from April 29, 2025 to May 6, 2025, can be extended to World Environment Day June 5, 2025, integrated with other major events and holidays such as: World Environment Day, April 30 and May 1.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment requests provincial departments, branches, sectors, and organizations; People's Committees of districts, cities, towns, and agencies and units to direct the organization of the response to the National Week of Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation in 2025 in a solemn, practical, and economical manner, avoiding formalities and waste...
