Many farmers in the province are developing a model of raising frogs in cages and cement tanks to generate additional income for their families. After 3 months of raising, for each kilo of frogs, the farmer earns about 10,000 VND.

After buying the frogs, the farmer builds a cage or cement tank and then raises them. On average, a cage or cement tank has an area of ​​8-12m2, and can raise 1,000 frogs. Food for frogs is also very easy to find. In addition to processed industrial food, farmers can catch golden apple snails, miscellaneous fish, crabs, shrimp, etc. to feed the frogs.

Frog farmers said that raising frogs in cages and cement tanks not only avoids loss but is also easy to monitor and care for. Currently, farmed frogs cost about 50,000-55,000 VND/kg, the highest price since the end of 2020. Gourmets often choose to buy parent frogs, the price ranges from 60,000-70,000 VND/kg. After deducting all investment costs, raising 1,000 frogs after 3 months will earn an average profit of 3-3.5 million VND.
