The program "Happy Children's Day" organized by Mr. Pham Van Vy's group and friends in collaboration with the Social Work Department of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital on May 29, brought a meaningful day to the unfortunate children who are fighting with illness.
The little faces fighting against illness, that day lit up with joy when receiving gifts, drawing pictures, blowing out candles together and sharing a sweet birthday cake.
Mr. Vy said that this program has been maintained regularly by him and his friends for many years, in which priority is given to children with blood diseases. According to information from the Hospital, the number of children treated at the Clinical Hematology Department this year has increased, especially in cases of young children with brain cancer, so he is even more determined to stand up and organize Children's Day for the children.
The happiest thing is that in a short time, the Group has received support from many people, including students. The program gave 170 gifts to children in the hospital, 46 special gifts including candy, milk, and cash to children in difficult circumstances at the Clinical Hematology Department.
Little Truong Nha Phuong, 12 years old, has a bright smile, enthusiastically participating in activities. She has been suffering from thalassemia since she was 7 months old, and has been attached to the hospital for many years to maintain her life. Her mother, Ho Thi Hoai, in Linh Son commune (Thai Nguyen city), tearfully said: My family has just escaped poverty after receiving support from the State to build a house in 2024. My husband and I have unstable jobs, and we spend all our money on our child. Since my child started treatment here, every year I have received gifts and received care from the uncles and aunts. I am very grateful to everyone and just hope for a miracle so that my child can be healthy.
Not only Mr. Vy's group, this year's Children's Day in the province also saw the participation of many individuals and organizations in the area. They were Nhat Thien Heart Club organizing a performance and giving gifts at Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Hospital; Thai Nguyen Automobile Company Limited (Mitsubishi Thai Nguyen) giving 314 gifts to students of Tan Loi Kindergarten, Trai Cau town; Ms. Phung Thi Thuong's group and friends also gave 200 gifts to children being treated at Hospital C, Dong Hy District Medical Center...

Love is not only present during holidays and Tet, but is "planted" persistently over the years. Many philanthropists, after seeing the deprived circumstances of children in remote areas, have quietly contributed to share the difficulties with them. And there are many stories about the hands that have silently built schools, set up classrooms, set up boarding kitchens, and opened up better educational opportunities for children in the highlands in recent times.
Behind these contributions is the quiet connection of teacher Phung Thi Thuong, Cuc Duong Primary School (Vo Nhai), who is considered a "bridge" bringing love to the highlands. Not only giving gifts, she also sponsors more than 70 students with special circumstances in and outside the province.
Trusted by benefactors, she quietly became the “second mother” of disadvantaged children, with the hope of accompanying them until they grow up, or until an organization takes over their care. Thanks to her, those little lives are growing up in love and hope.
The love is also extended by a project called “Mom will go with you”, which was just launched by the Love Connection Club on the occasion of Uncle Ho’s birthday. The project targets orphans, disadvantaged children, children who need a protective arm, a promise of companionship to grow up firmly.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Huyen, the initiator of the Project, choked up and said: I have been doing charity work for many years, but I especially feel sorry for children who lack parents and do not live in true love. I have always cherished the desire to create a long-term journey, something sustainable to accompany the children.
From these concerns, the project was born with the goal of sponsoring 62 children in the first year, 62 lives waiting for a promise, a long-term handshake. Ms. Huyen shared: We did not give birth to children, but we have children born from the heart. When growing up with love with children, every mother feels her life is more fulfilling.
A handshake, a promise, a bond, seemingly small but can change a life. “Where there are disadvantaged children, there is love” is not just a slogan. It is something that exists every day through concrete actions, with a heart that always aches for the question: How can every child, even born in disadvantaged conditions, still grow up in the protection of human love...
