- Sir, could you please tell us about the role and significance of the participation of the Vietnam Trade Office in India within the framework of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, especially for trade promotion activities and trade connection between the two countries?

Mr. Bui Trung Thuong: The participation of the Vietnam Trade Office in India in the Autumn Fair 2025 is very important, demonstrating its bridging role in bringing the Indian business community direct access to the Vietnamese market - a dynamic market with increasingly large and expanding consumption.

At this event, the Trade Office has closely coordinated with major Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Associations to mobilize and organize Indian business delegations to attend, exhibit and connect with trade. In particular, the establishment of the India Pavilion at the Fair has contributed to creating a highlight, introducing typical Indian products in the fields of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer goods, handicrafts, textiles and light industrial equipment.

This is one of the specific and practical promotional activities to implement economic cooperation agreements between the two governments . At the same time, it helps businesses of the two countries seek investment opportunities, production cooperation and supply chain development.

- At this year's Autumn Fair, what specific networking and exchange activities did Vietnamese and Indian businesses have? Could you please share more about the outstanding results, cooperation agreements or memorandums of understanding signed within the framework of the event?

Mr. Bui Trung Thuong: During the Fair, the Vietnam Trade Office in India coordinated with the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam) to organize dozens of direct B2B connection sessions between businesses of the two countries.

Indian businesses participating in this delegation, such as the India-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IVCCI), AVA Cholayil Health Care Pvt. Ltd., Export Bazaar, the Indian Council for Promotion of Handicrafts (EPCH), IS Engineers and representatives of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), brought many potential products and signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the fields of import and export of consumer goods, healthcare, handicrafts and engineering products.

- In your opinion, how significant are these initial results in promoting bilateral trade between Vietnam and India, as well as expanding cooperation opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises of the two countries in the coming time?

Mr. Bui Trung Thuong: The results achieved at this Autumn Fair not only have the meaning of promoting trade, but also contribute to expanding the space for substantive cooperation between two dynamically developing economies.

With the direct participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, B2B connections have helped them better understand each other's needs, product standards and market regulations, thereby forming sustainable cooperation channels that are suitable for production capabilities.

This is also an important premise to increase bilateral trade exchange, towards the target of 20 billion USD that the leaders of the two countries have set in the coming period.

- How do you assess the potential for developing new areas of cooperation between Vietnam and India, especially in the context of the two countries focusing on innovation, green economy and digital transformation?

Mr. Bui Trung Thuong: The potential for cooperation between Vietnam and India is still very large, especially in the fields of information technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, organic agriculture, renewable energy and digital economy.

Currently, many Indian enterprises are interested in investing in production, building distribution centers and cooperating in technology transfer in Vietnam, while Vietnamese enterprises are also looking for sources of raw materials, technical technology, as well as digital solutions from India.

The Autumn Fair is an important first step, helping both sides identify areas where strengths and needs can be combined, thereby expanding into cooperation in production, investment and regional supply chain development.

- After the success of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, what specific plans and directions does the Vietnam Trade Office in India have to continue supporting businesses of the two countries to connect trade, as well as prepare for the next fairs and exhibitions?

The expansion of direct flights between Vietnam and India also contributes significantly to promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

In the coming time, the Vietnam Trade Office in India will continue to organize Indian business delegations to attend four Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter Fairs in Vietnam, Vietnam Expo; Vietnam International Sourcing; Vietnam Food Expo... At the same time, promote trade promotion activities and direct investment in many localities in the country, strongly promote business-to-business cooperation (B2B) and regional connectivity.

In addition, the Trade Office will accompany Vietnamese corporations and enterprises with capacity and financial potential to implement the overseas investment strategy (Go Global), an orientation that the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade is building, perfecting policies and submitting to the Government for consideration. At the same time, the Trade Office will also increase support for Vietnamese small and medium enterprises to access, expand markets and develop sustainably in India through consulting, trade promotion and substantive connection activities.

Thank you!
