With 100% of the votes, Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province was elected Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province for the 2021-2026 term.
On the afternoon of December 2, the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province held the 23rd session, term XVIII (term 2021-2026) to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
With 100% of the votes, Mr. Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thanh Hoa province was elected Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province for the 2021-2026 term, replacing Mr. Do Trong Hung, who was transferred and assigned to be Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.
In his speech accepting the assignment, Mr. Lai The Nguyen pledged that in his position as Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province, he will always be steadfast, firm, absolutely loyal to the Party and the people, exemplary in abiding by the law; strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, actively study, cultivate, train, maintain moral qualities and lifestyle, improve working capacity; uphold the spirit of responsibility, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Mr. Lai The Nguyen affirmed that he will work with the Provincial People's Council delegates to continue to innovate and further improve the quality and effectiveness of the Provincial People's Council's operations; regularly contact and closely connect with voters, be subject to the people's supervision; honestly and fully reflect the will and aspirations of voters and people to the Provincial People's Council.
At the same time, strengthen the coordination between the Standing Committee of the People's Council with the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, the National Assembly Delegation of the province and agencies, units and localities. From there, together with the Party Committee, the government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, striving to make Thanh Hoa one of the leading provinces in the country by 2025, and become a modern industrial province by 2030.
Immediately after this session, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council will complete the dossier and submit it to the National Assembly Standing Committee for approval of the election of the Provincial People's Council Chairman, in accordance with the provisions of law./.
