Mr. Le Quang Manh as Secretary General, Head of the Office of the National Assembly

On October 25, the National Assembly took steps and voted to elect the Secretary General of the National Assembly and the Chief of the Office of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly passed a resolution to elect Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai as Chairman of the Committee on Science , Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong as Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee; and Mr. Le Quang Manh as Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office.

There were 434 delegates participating in the vote (equal to 91.56% of the total number of National Assembly deputies); of which 434 delegates approved (equal to 91.56% of the total number of National Assembly deputies, equal to 100% of the total number of National Assembly deputies present).

According to this resolution, Mr. Le Quang Manh - Permanent Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office was elected as Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office.

Previously, in September, Mr. Le Quang Tung, Secretary General and Head of the Office of the National Assembly, was assigned by the Politburo to be Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Le Quang Manh was born in 1974, hometown is Hanoi city, professional qualifications: PhD in Economics, BA in Business Management, BA in English.

He worked for many years in units of the Ministry of Planning and Investment. In June 2019, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City. In October 2020, he became Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee.

On May 22, 2023, Mr. Le Quang Manh was elected by the National Assembly as a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, holding the position of Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee. When the National Assembly reorganized its apparatus, Mr. Manh assumed the position of Permanent Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee (merging the Economic Committee with the Finance and Budget Committee).

On September 29, he was transferred and appointed to the position of Permanent Deputy Head of the Office of the National Assembly.

According to the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, the Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the Office of the National Assembly is the head of the Office of the National Assembly, responsible to the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for the activities of the Office of the National Assembly.

The Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the Office of the National Assembly is the spokesman of the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.
