Mr. Pham Dinh Doan: 'Phu Thai Mobility will do business with many car brands'

In addition to Jaguar and Land Rover, Phu Thai Mobility will expand distribution to many other car brands in Vietnam in the next 3-5 years, according to the Chairman of Phu Thai Group.

The above information was shared by Mr. Pham Dinh Doan, Chairman of Phu Thai Group (Phu Thai Holdings Group) at the launching ceremony of Land Rover's new global standard showroom in Hanoi . According to him, thanks to many years of international cooperation experience, this group will distribute other car brands through its member company Phu Thai Mobility.

"We have completed negotiations with partners and plan to announce new car brands in the next 3-5 years, aiming to make Phu Thai Mobility the leading luxury car distributor in the market," said Mr. Pham Dinh Doan.

The partner mentioned by Mr. Doan is Pon Holdings. This multinational corporation headquartered in the Netherlands has been importing and distributing Land Rover branded vehicles in Vietnam with Phu Thai since 2019, through its member company Phu Thai Mobility. For more than 10 years, Pon Holdings has also been a partner of Phu Thai CAT (under Phu Thai Holdings Group), specializing in importing and distributing Caterpillar brand heavy industrial machinery from the US.

Accordingly, Pon is a leading multinational corporation in the Netherlands, with annual revenue of over 10 billion euros, operating in 4 main areas: import and distribution of cars; bicycles; equipment, electricity and agricultural products and services. In the automotive sector, Pon has been a partner of Volkswagen since 1947, when the Netherlands was the first export market of the German auto group. Currently, Pon represents Audi, Volkswagen, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini in the domestic market.

In the US, this group has a network of more than 25 luxury and super luxury car dealerships, including brands such as: Porsche, McLaren, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce...

Commenting on the luxury car distribution market, Mr. Doan said that this is a potential segment, because the rich and super-rich in Vietnam are growing rapidly. "I aim for Phu Thai to have a scale, product quality and after-sales service equivalent to the international market to serve Vietnamese people," Mr. Doan shared. He added that promoting transparency and compliance with the law in international cooperation is the foundation for this group to develop sustainably.

The Hanoi showroom launched on November 23 is one of the specific activities in the development orientation of Phu Thai Mobility and Jaguar Land Rover in Vietnam. This project covers an area of nearly 1,700 m2, is the first showroom in the world of Land Rover, designed according to the Modern Luxury strategy, with the vision of the Brand House, including the car lines: Range Rover, Defender and Discovery, inspired by the ripple effect, focusing on the customer experience.

The showroom space is customer-centric, following JLR's global Modern Luxury orientation.

2023 marks a significant step forward for Phu Thai Mobility, after about 5 years of receiving the right to import and distribute genuine Land Rover vehicles in the Vietnamese market. Since the beginning of the year, this distributor has launched a series of new models, iconic to the brand such as: Defender 130, Range Rover Sport, Defender 75th Limited Edition - the version celebrating the 75th anniversary of the brand's founding...

In addition, Phu Thai Mobility also launched many Land Rover experience programs in key provinces and cities nationwide, to reach users.

In the last two months, Land Rover Vietnam's sales have grown significantly, thanks to positive signals from the market and increasing demand for car purchases at the end of the year. According to the company, Land Rover's sales in Vietnam have grown at double-digit rates every year since 2020.
