Mr. Phan Thien Dinh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.

On the morning of November 18, the 18th People's Council of Ha Tinh province held the 33rd session (special session) to review and decide on a number of important contents under its authority and perfect key personnel.

Delegates listened to the Report of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province on transferring central budget capital to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in 2025; listened to the inspection report of the Economic - Budget Committee (Provincial People's Council).

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Vo Trong Hai from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, because he was transferred by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Delegates carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Tran Tu Anh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, from the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, due to his election as Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

The People's Council of Ha Tinh province conducted the process of electing Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and elected Mr. Duong Tat Thang, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh respectfully thanked the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council delegates for their trust and entrusting him with the important responsibility of being the head of the Ha Tinh provincial government.

In his new position, he will continue to train, cultivate, uphold the sense of responsibility, and make every effort to best fulfill assigned tasks; continue to innovate, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, and properly perform his duties and powers according to the Constitution and laws.

He will closely follow the resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council; proactively stay close to the grassroots; listen to the people's voices; unify will and action to build practical and effective work programs and plans.

In the immediate future, focus on implementing tasks and solutions to strive to successfully complete the goals and targets of the 2025 plan.

He hopes to continue to receive close leadership and direction from the Provincial Party Committee, supervision and support from the Provincial People's Council, close coordination from the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and support and joint efforts from the people of the whole province to build Ha Tinh to develop quickly, comprehensively and sustainably.

Mr. Phan Thien Dinh was born on December 10, 1971, hometown: Thuan An ward, Hue city; qualifications: Master of Public Administration, Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Law; political theory level: Advanced.

He held many important positions in Thua Thien-Hue province (old), now Hue city such as: Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien-Hue province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province, Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee (under the old Thua Thien-Hue province), Secretary of the Thuan Hoa District Party Committee, Head of the Economic and Budget Committee of the People's Council of Hue city.

On October 3, 2025, at the 17th Congress of Hue City Party Committee, he was elected to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. On October 17, 2025, at the 27th Special Session, 8th term, 2021-2026 term of Hue City People's Council, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

Previously, on November 14, 2025, the Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Phan Thien Dinh to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the same day, Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province was mobilized and appointed by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term./.
