Mr. Vu Van Tien is Chairman of ABBANK Board of Directors

(NLDO) - Not only did ABBANK change the Chairman of the Board of Directors, it also has a new General Director after Mr. Pham Duy Hieu resigned for personal reasons.

On November 14, the Board of Directors (BOD) of An Binh Bank (ABBANK) issued resolutions adjusting key leadership positions of the bank's Board of Directors and Executive Board.

Accordingly, Mr. Vu Van Tien takes on the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Dao Manh Khang is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. In his new position, Mr. Vu Van Tien will focus on strategic orientation, leadership and comprehensive, regular direction of the bank's operations.

ABBANK's Board of Directors also unanimously approved the plan to change the personnel taking on the position of general director, in order to suit the new development stage of the bank.

Accordingly, Mr. Pham Duy Hieu resigned from the position of General Director of ABBANK due to his personal wishes, but continued to accompany the bank as a member of the Human Resources Committee and the Sustainable Development Strategy Committee (ESG). Mr. Hieu will focus on training and coaching the team; developing community relations and ESG ecosystem partners in line with the bank's strategy.

Mr. Vu Van Tien left the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geleximco Group and assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABBANK.

Mr. Le Manh Hung, born in 1979 - was appointed by the Board of Directors of ABBANK to the position of Deputy General Director and assigned to assume the duties and powers of the General Director from November 14. Mr. Le Manh Hung has more than 23 years of experience in the field of finance and banking, holding the position of member of the Executive Board and Director of ABBANK Wholesale Banking Division since 2017.

According to Mr. Vu Van Tien, the restructuring of the leadership apparatus this time is part of ABBANK's development strategy, aiming to enhance its position, strengthen strategic management resources; and ensure the achievement of development goals in the following years.

In a related development, on the same day, Geleximco Group also announced the decision to appoint Mr. Vu Van Hau as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of the Group. At the same time, Mr. Vu Van Tien, the founder of this group, left the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director to take on the position of Chairman of the Founding Council.

Mr. Le Manh Hung holds the position of Deputy General Director and is assigned to undertake the duties and powers of General Director of ABBANK.

According to ABBANK, the restructuring of senior personnel is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Credit Institutions 2024 and the ABBANK Charter. This is an important step in the roadmap to strengthen the governance, operation, and supervision of the implementation of the Board of Directors' strategy, while at the same time maximizing the capacity, experience, and commitment of the bank's key leadership team.

ABBANK's report shows that the accumulated pre-tax profit in the past 10 months reached more than VND3,000 billion, completing 167% of the yearly plan. ABBANK has been approved by the State Bank to increase its charter capital by more than VND3,600 billion. The bank is implementing the final licensing steps to implement the capital increase roadmap, expected in early 2026.

ABBANK's accumulated pre-tax profit for the first 10 months reached more than 3,000 billion VND, completing 167% of the yearly plan.
