PC Ninh Binh focuses on solutions to ensure electrical safety during the stormy season

The rainy and stormy season is a time when power grid incidents are likely to occur. To proactively prevent and promptly handle possible incidents, Ninh Binh Power Company (PC Ninh Binh) has implemented many solutions to ensure grid safety during the rainy and stormy season.

Right from the beginning of the year, PC Ninh Binh has built a plan for natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue in 2023 to proactively respond promptly and minimize damage caused by natural disasters according to the motto "4 on-site".

With the implementation principle: Proactive, preventative, timely and flexible response, quickly overcome consequences, the Company has built scenarios to proactively respond; Prepare materials, means and human resources to handle incidents; quickly overcome grid and power source incidents caused by natural disasters, ensuring safe power supply for customers in the province.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Lan, Head of Safety Department, Ninh Binh Power Company said: "In May 2023, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control organized a drill on Disaster Prevention and Control - Power grid incident handling - Information incident handling and safety drill (4-in-1 drill) at all affiliated units and a Company-level drill with a typical hypothetical situation. At the end of the drill, the Steering Committee met to evaluate the implementation results compared with the set goals, drawing lessons to improve response capacity when natural disasters occur.

In addition, the Company also instructed units to review the weak points of the power grid system to have plans for renovation and repair, and at the same time arrange forces ready to be on duty to limit power outages for loads."

To operate the power grid safely during the storm season, the Company has organized and assigned tasks to each member of the Command Board for natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue from the Company level down to the grassroots level, established the Company's PCTT & TKCN Shock Team and units, planned periodic testing of 110 kV substations, intermediate stations, distribution substations according to hierarchy and resolved the remaining problems after testing.

For the Power Companies, the Company directs its affiliated units to maintain corridor clearance work combined with inspection, review and handling of violations of the grid safety corridor, and coordinate with the Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation Company to inspect the irrigation pumping station system in the area.

In addition, prepare adequate means, materials and human resources to ensure readiness to respond when storms occur and overcome damage after storms.

In construction investment work, as of May 31, 2023, Ninh Binh Power Company has commenced 11 projects, including 10 medium and low voltage grid projects; newly constructed and renovated 51 substations with a total capacity of 19,710 kVA, newly constructed and renovated 31,343 km of medium voltage lines, newly constructed and renovated 124,663 m of low voltage lines.

The 10 medium and low voltage grid construction investment projects are divided into 10 construction packages, starting in May 2023 and expected to be completed in August 2023, contributing to strengthening the stability of the grid system.

In addition to proactively implementing plans to ensure grid safety during the rainy and stormy season, PC Ninh Binh also strengthens propaganda work so that people understand and cooperate to not encroach on the grid safety corridor.

The company has organized propaganda in many forms such as: sending messages via Zalo to all electricity customers, distributing leaflets, propaganda on media systems at all levels...

In addition, coordinate well with local authorities to propagate and guide people to use electricity safely, strictly comply with preventive measures according to regulations, and coordinate with the electricity industry when incidents occur.
