With the theme “Understanding pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in depth - Taking action to protect children from pneumococcal diseases”, this series of scientific conferences updates new knowledge to healthcare professionals in Vietnam.

The workshop was attended by two leading experts in infectious diseases - Pediatrics in the world , Professor Ron Dagan (Israel) and Dr. Mark Peter Gerard van der Linden (Netherlands), presenting the development trend of multivalent vaccines to prevent pneumococcal disease and highlighting the value of pneumococcal vaccines for patients and society in general.
The conference series also had the participation of more than 1,800 doctors from all over the country in the field of pediatrics and prevention, along with many leading experts in the field of infectious diseases in the country such as: Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien - Director of the National Children's Hospital; Associate Professor, Dr. Phung Nguyen The Nguyen - Head of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City; Associate Professor, Dr. Cao Huu Nghia - Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences - Pasteur Institute, Ho Chi Minh City; Dr. Truong Huu Khanh - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Infectious Diseases Association; Dr. Bach Thi Chinh - Medical Director of VNVC; Dr. Le Khac Bao - Deputy Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine - Gia Dinh People's Hospital.
