Quang Tri ranks 3rd out of 11 provinces implementing the second measles vaccination campaign

According to the report of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute, Quang Tri is one of the provinces with the highest vaccination rate in the country, ranking 3rd out of 11 provinces implementing the second measles vaccination campaign. The vaccination rate for the target groups of the campaign is 10,882/11,191 (number of injections/total number of subjects); reaching 97.2%; 9/9 districts, towns, and cities reached over 95%.

Quang Tri province will carry out the second round of measles vaccination in 119 communes in 9 districts, towns and cities from March 26 to 31, 2025, and the booster vaccination will be from April 1 to 5, 2025. Of which, children aged 6-9 months will receive 2,083/2,188 (number of injections/total number of subjects), accounting for 95.2%; children aged 1-5 years will receive 6,113/6,239, accounting for 98%; children aged 6-10 years will receive 2,686/2,764, accounting for 97.2%.

According to the health sector, the measles vaccination campaign has received close and effective coordination between the education and health sectors in localities. Preschools and primary schools in the area enthusiastically participated in the activities implemented at schools.
