Striving to build 20% of wards and communes free of drugs by 2025

The City People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement Resolution No. 163/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly approving the investment policy for the national target program on drug prevention and control until 2030 in the city.

Accordingly, annually, reduce the number of drug addicts, drug relapsers, and illegal drug users; at the same time, deploy synchronous solutions and associate the responsibility of the entire political system to maintain and expand drug-free wards and communes; strive to build 20% of wards and communes without drugs by 2025 and build an annual implementation roadmap to ensure that by 2030, at least 50% of wards and communes in the city are drug-free.

Strive for 100% of complex drug hotspots, drug-related hotspots, risk points, drug retailers and 100% of areas of illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotics (if any) to be detected, destroyed and not re-formed; more than 80% of units, officers and soldiers specializing in drug crime prevention and control under the City Police, the City Border Guard Command and other specialized forces to be equipped with weapons, support tools, modern technical means, meeting the requirements of drug crime prevention and control tasks.
