Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasized that the meeting to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the historic Moncada uprising and jointly launch a campaign to support the construction of solar power systems for schools in Cuba is a vivid demonstration of the great and lasting friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, a sentiment that has been forged through the harsh challenges of time.
The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the Vietnam-Cuba friendship is a beautiful symbol of international solidarity, built with the blood and efforts of many generations.
Today, while Vietnam has achieved many important achievements in the process of innovation and development, Cuba is facing numerous difficulties, especially the serious energy crisis that deeply affects all aspects of people's lives, especially in the field of education .
With the spirit of mutual love, the spirit of “helping each other” and especially the loyal and steadfast love for brotherly Cuba, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association of the city call on the Vietnamese community to join hands and contribute to supporting the installation of solar power systems in schools in Cuba.
“Supporting the construction of solar power systems for schools in Cuba not only helps students have better learning conditions but also demonstrates international solidarity and the Vietnamese people's sharing with Cuban friends in difficult times. This is a concrete action to continue to foster and deepen the special Vietnam-Cuba relationship, a relationship that has been tested and proven throughout history," Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed.
