On April 25, at Trung Yen Primary School ( Hanoi ), the Central Council of Young Pioneers launched a contest for Children to sing the National Anthem at red addresses.
This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, the 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Journey for young pioneers and children across the country to return to history
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Director of the Center for Supporting and Developing Vietnamese Children, emphasized: The Contest for Children to Sing the National Anthem at Red Addresses is a journey for young pioneers and children across the country to return to history, to the "red addresses" - places that mark countless feats, sacrifices and glorious pages of the nation's history; to together raise the sacred song "The Vietnamese Army goes..." with all pride and respect.
“The contest is not only an opportunity for students to express their love for their homeland and country, but also an opportunity for them to return to their roots, listen to historical stories, and foster gratitude and aspiration to build the country.
From the deep, profound and solemn melodies of the National Anthem resounding at historical sites, love for the Fatherland will be strongly spread among the children - the generation of great dreams, aspirations and responsibilities, ready to contribute to making Vietnam a developed and powerful country by 2045 as the goal that the Party, State and all our people are aiming for", said the Vice President of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers.
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to propagate and educate children about the heroic history of the nation, the revolutionary tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, associated with practical educational activities through trips to relics and red addresses.
According to the Organizing Committee, individuals and groups of contestants (no limit on the number of people) participating in the contest Children sing the National Anthem at red addresses choose at least 1 relic or red address associated with important historical events and milestones of the country, of the Party, Youth Union, Young Pioneers or of the locality.
It could be historical museums, places associated with famous people, national heroes, young heroes in the history of building and defending the country; local historical monuments to learn about, introduce and perform the National Anthem.
Individuals and groups of contestants can participate with a video clip no longer than 7 minutes. Each individual or group of contestants can participate with no more than 3 products. The Organizing Committee encourages the use of specialized camera equipment, cameras, and mobile devices (full HD mode) to record.
The competition includes a provincial round and a national final round. It is expected that there will be a total of 20 prizes, including: 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes.
