
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Industry and Trade Newspaper, environmental protection is a continuous and vital task in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country, especially in the context of deep integration and international commitments such as COP26, equitable energy transition, and circular economic development.
Therefore, the media must take the lead, play a leading role in public opinion, raise public awareness, create social consensus and encourage businesses to act for the environment.
The 2025 writing contest on environmental protection in the Industry and Trade sector continues to arouse the sense of responsibility and creativity of journalists, collaborators, and experts, to join hands for a sustainable and environmentally friendly Industry and Trade sector.
The entries focus on reflecting the implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection in the industry and trade sector; typical models, businesses and units applying clean technology, saving energy and reducing emissions.
The works analyze challenges and solutions to pollution treatment, waste control, and circular economy development. Introduce initiatives, green technology, and energy conversion in various fields of the industry.
Promote awareness change, sustainable consumption behavior, fight against plastic waste, use resources effectively. Reflect on problems and shortcomings, thereby proposing appropriate solutions and policies.
Contestants are journalists, collaborators, media officers, experts, and media workers inside and outside the industry and trade sector. Each individual or group of authors (maximum 5 people) can submit multiple works.
Genres include news, reflections, reports, interviews, comments, essays, discussions, journalistic notes...
The work has been published in print and online newspapers from October 1, 2023 to July 30, 2025.
The work must not exceed 5 installments with a commitment to copyright and authenticity of content. The deadline for receiving works is from the launch date to August 15, 2025.
Regarding the award structure, there will be a total of 21 awards including: 1 Special award, 2 A awards, 3 B awards, 5 C awards, 8 Encouragement awards and 2 Special awards.
