On April 27, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and Vietnam Post Corporation to organize a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)".

This is not only a cultural event of profound significance but also a tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who fought for the independence and unification of the Fatherland; at the same time, spreading historical values to the community, especially the young generation today and tomorrow.
The stamp set includes 2 stamp designs and 1 block, with the stamp size being 32 x 43mm, the block being 70 x 100mm. The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation).
The stamps are presented in strong colors, using 3 main colors: red, yellow and blue - also the flag colors of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam. The stamp designs are presented vividly, standing out against the background of the image of a white dove spreading its wings between the "red of the land, the blue of the sky" - a symbol of peace , solidarity and a bright future.
Sample 2-1 “Liberate the South, unify the country” , the center of the stamp is the image of a soldier with determined eyes, radiant face, carrying a gun and walking among the Liberation Army. Behind is the victory flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam flying on the roof of the Independence Palace.
The image of the soldier is also a brilliant symbol of generations of young people, ready to fight for the ideal of national independence and national unification.
The stamp conveys a profound message about the courage, strong will and indomitable spirit of the nation's outstanding children - those who have contributed to writing a glorious and brilliant page in the history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.
Model 2-2 “North and South are one family, the country is united” , the joy of victory is vividly depicted through the image of two children - representing the North and South, holding hands, smiling brightly, waving the flag high in joy, unity and harmony. The stamp background is the image of the first Thong Nhat train connecting the two ends of the country, affirming a unified and territorially intact Vietnam.
All the details from lines to colors have blended together, creating an epic about the spirit of great national unity. As President Ho Chi Minh once affirmed: "Vietnam is one, the Vietnamese people are one".
Through expressive pictorial language, the stamp conveys a profound message to present and future generations: always remember and preserve the sacred values of peace, independence, and above all, pride and love for the homeland - because that is the source of strength to build an increasingly prosperous and civilized Vietnam.

Bloc model “As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day” , the image of a dove appearing on both the stamp and the block represents the nation’s desire for peace, as well as President Ho Chi Minh’s wish: “Our country will definitely be unified. The people of the North and the South will definitely be reunited under one roof.”
The block model shows the image of Uncle Ho waving, behind is the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building. After 50 years, the city named after Uncle Ho is growing strongly, renewing every day, becoming a modern, green - clean - beautiful, livable urban area. The rows of green trees, high-rise buildings, modern road and bridge systems... are not only images of development, but also vivid evidence of the will to rise and the steadfast belief of the entire nation in a bright future.
