25 tons of smelly squid discovered at a warehouse in Quang Ninh - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

25 tons of frozen squid, 300 kg of beef tripe and 160 kg of boxed chicken feet were discovered at a warehouse in Mong Cai city in a smelly condition.

On May 28, according to information from the Market Management Department of Quang Ninh province, this unit has just seized 25 tons of frozen squid and 460 kg of smelly beef tripe and chicken feet being stored in a cold storage in Mong Cai city.

Goods hidden in cold storage

Specifically, on the morning of May 27, Market Management Team No. 4, together with the Economic Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police and the Customs Control Team, Customs Branch of Region VIII inspected the frozen warehouse of Mr. D.XS (address: Village 1, Quang Long, Hai Ha, Quang Ninh) in Village 5, Quang Nghia Commune, Mong Cai City.

At the time of inspection, authorities discovered 25,000 kg of frozen squid, 300 kg of beef tripe and 160 kg of chicken feet.

All of the above goods were packed in cartons and plastic baskets, smelled bad and had no information about the origin of the goods.

Authorities count the goods stored in Mr. D.XS's warehouse in Mong Cai City.

Mr. D.XS declared that all of the above goods were purchased on the market for business purposes and did not have invoices, vouchers, or papers proving the origin of the goods.

Market Management Team No. 4 has temporarily detained all of the above goods and completed the processing file.

Previously, on May 26, Market Management Team No. 1 seized nearly 8 tons of frozen chicken feet of unknown origin in Mong Cai City and on May 15, Market Management Team No. 1 seized over 2 tons of food of unknown origin in Cam Pha City.
