Authorities quickly arrived at the scene, coordinated with local residents to lift the taxi to check underneath and discovered the body of a man, possibly the driver of the vehicle.

A witness said that he had seen the taxi in the above location since early afternoon but did not go near to check so he did not know that someone had an accident under the car.

The leader of Thuy Phu Commune People's Committee said that the police initially determined that the victim was born in 1975, residing in Lang Co town (Phu Loc district, Thua Thien - Hue province).
