A majestic rocky mountain range, dubbed as the “second Ghenh Da Dia” of Vietnam, was discovered in Phuoc Nang commune, Da Nang city. This discovery not only surprised the local people but also opened up great tourism potential for the area.
According to local people, this rocky mountain range was previously hidden by trees and rocks, only a small part was exposed so it was not noticed.

It was not until 2018, when the Nuoc Che Hydropower Company dug up the mountain to bury a pipeline to bring water from the reservoir to the power plant, that the entire range of rocky mountains was completely exposed.
This stone plate mountain range is more than 500m long, with many stone pillars about 5m high arranged next to each other, running along the road. The stone blocks are stacked on top of each other in many unique shapes, reminiscent of the famous Ghenh Da Dia in Phu Yen province (old, now Dak Lak province).

In particular, the stone pillars are column-shaped, arranged vertically, with a square, hexagonal or circular cross-section, all in neat rows.
According to some geological experts, this rocky mountain range may be millions of years old. Through the process of weathering and erosion, the sedimentary rock has created stone columns with interesting shapes and regular arrangements, creating a beauty that is both majestic and harmonious.
Mr. Ho Van Trao (34 years old, residing in village 1, Phuoc Nang commune) expressed the surprise of local people at the unique shape of this mountain range. Mr. Trao also hopes that the authorities will soon take measures to preserve and develop this rocky mountain range into a tourist destination, creating jobs for the people.

This rocky mountain range is located about 2km from Ho Chi Minh road and more than 1km from Phuoc Nang commune People's Committee headquarters. Although the current road is still difficult due to lack of investment, this favorable location promises great potential for tourism development.
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Vu Dinh Cuoi, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Nang Commune People's Committee, confirmed the uniqueness of this rocky reef and said it is very similar to the rocky reef in Dak Lak province. Mr. Cuoi revealed that the village elders discovered this rocky reef stretching about 5km deep into the forest.
The Vice Chairman of Phuoc Nang Commune People’s Committee said that a number of businesses have come to learn about and discuss investment. The commune is inviting businesses to explore and propose investment plans suitable to the environment and actual conditions.

Mr. Cuoi also expressed his hope that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city would pay attention and orient to turn this rocky beach into an attractive destination for tourists.
"Ghenh Da Dia is very close to Ho Chi Minh road, the traffic is convenient so tourists can get there very close. However, it is still wild here so it really needs investment from businesses or the government. If there is the right direction, I think this Ghenh Da Dia will attract tourists to the locality," Mr. Cuoi emphasized.
