Developing digital transformation in charity work

District 1 Red Cross has signed a cooperation agreement with Santa Joint Stock Company, piloting digital transformation called "Smart delivery and receipt solution in the charity field", to help philanthropists more conveniently help those facing many difficulties.

With the theme "Love the elderly, love the children", from 8am to 4pm every day from Monday to Friday , donors can make donations by sending directly to the SantaPocket box located at the Red Cross of District 1 or sending to any SantaPocket box near their residence or workplace for the most convenient donation.

The donated gifts will be transported directly to the locker system located at 50 Thach Thi Thanh, Tan Dinh Ward, District 1 by the volunteer team.

Gifts that can be donated include diapers, convenient disposable diapers for the elderly and children at District 1 hospitals and suitable books to contribute to school libraries in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to this digital transformation model in charity, information about the delivery and receipt of charity goods will be carried out through the application. Through this, benefactors can clearly know the schedule of their charity gifts to the correct address or not.

Sharing about digital transformation cooperation with Santa Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang (Chairman of the Red Cross Society of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), said: "The program "Love the elderly, love the children" is carried out in the spirit of joining hands to help those in difficult circumstances. Donors can also easily access and send gifts and items through SantaPocket thanks to the management system and software, from which the Red Cross Society of District 1 and Santa Joint Stock Company can closely and transparently manage gifts between donors and recipients. In addition, this activity is completely non-profit, we do it on a voluntary basis".
